From Times Staff and Wire Reports
Iran has told three European nations that it will resume building parts for centrifuges used in the uranium enrichment process. Tehran sent a diplomatic note to France, Germany and Britain saying it will resume the work, John Bolton, a U.S. undersecretary of State, told a House subcommittee in Washington.
The centrifuges are used to make enriched uranium, which can be used as reactor fuel or to make bombs. The United States accuses Iran of trying to develop nuclear weapons, while Iran insists its program is aimed only at producing energy.
