More Charges in Surgery Case

A Westminster woman is scheduled for arraignment this morning on charges she recruited patients to undergo unnecessary operations at a Buena Park surgery center.
Pancha Keophimphone, 53, is accused of working for Unity Outpatient Surgery Center, whose operators have been charged with 46 felony counts for allegedly billing more than $96 million worth of fraudulent claims to insurance companies nationwide.
Keophimphone was scheduled to appear in in a Santa Ana court at 9 a.m.
