An explosion in a coal mine killed 29 people in the same Chinese province where a blast at another mine had claimed nearly 150 lives last month, the government said.
The latest explosion occurred at the Xinsheng Coal Mine in Liangwa, a town in Henan province, the official New China News Agency said.
Six others were injured and rescuers were searching for survivors, the report said. It didn’t say how many people were working in the mine at the time of the explosion.
