Deputies See Gang Fight, Shoot Man

Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies shot and wounded a 19-year-old man late Friday after they came upon a gun battle between rival gangs and he allegedly pointed a handgun at the officers, a department spokeswoman said Saturday.
George Ruiz of Palmdale was hospitalized after being shot about 11:40 p.m., said Deputy Tanya Plunkett.
