Schools’ Chief Financial Officer Is Leaving

Los Angeles schools Supt. Roy Romer has announced that the district’s chief financial officer, Kenneth Gotsch, is leaving for personal reasons and will be succeeded by his deputy, Charles A. Burbridge.
Burbridge will oversee the budget of the nation’s second-largest school district. The budget, including operating and capital expenses, is about $13.3 billion. Burbridge will report to Romer.
The move follows the replacement earlier this week of the district’s chief operating officer and the resignation last week of its inspector general.
