Re “Cardinal Law Is Snubbed,” April 12: Regardless of celebrant, the Mass is about the body and blood of Christ. That he officiated is a sign that Boston’s former archbishop, Cardinal Bernard Law, has confessed and been absolved of his sins. That they apparently snubbed Law’s Mass for political reasons is a sign that, on probably the most important mission of their priesthoods, the three cardinals -- Edward M. Egan of New York, Francis George of Chicago and Roger M. Mahony of L.A. -- have gotten a little rusty on the Christian virtues of humility and forgiveness. I could send them some literature.
