Jazz to benefit scholarship fund

Pianist Harold Land Jr., bassist Louie Spears and singer Sharon Mott will perform Sunday at a fundraising concert for the Thurman Green Scholarship Fund, established in memory of the jazz trombonist who died in 1997.
The event will be held at Catalina Bar & Grill, 6725 W. Sunset Blvd., Hollywood. Doors open at 11:30 a.m.; there is a minimum donation of $15. Brunch will be available.
