Guide issued on safety planning

Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge has zeroed in on homeowners with an “Emergency Preparedness Guide” to help them plan for emergencies, including terrorist attacks.
The guide includes information on emergency supplies, effective emergency plans for families and resources available to homeowners.
The Homeownership Alliance, a coalition of housing organizations, will distribute the guide through local offices of the National Assn. of Realtors, which will include it with their closing materials for new homeowners. A version is available for downloading at www.homeownershipalliance.com.
