Ailing Ex-Premier to Go Abroad for Health Care

Former Prime Minister Yvon Neptune, ailing from a hunger strike, is to leave Haiti today for medical care.
Neptune, who served under ousted President Jean-Bertrand Aristide, has been held without charge for 10 months. He will be taken to a hospital in the Dominican capital of Santo Domingo, said the secretary of the Dominican armed forces, Adm. Sigfrido Pared Perez.
Haiti’s government accuses Neptune of orchestrating the killings of Aristide opponents in the 2004 rebellion but hasn’t brought charges. Neptune denies the allegations.
