Man Is Arrested After Police Find Cache of Weapons, Ammunition

A 25-year-old Bellflower man was arrested Sunday after assault weapons and ammunition were found in his home, authorities said.
Several teams of Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies, including a bomb squad, descended on the Gardendale Avenue house about noon after receiving a tip that guns and explosives were stored there, authorities said.
Christopher Lorin Wood was arrested after banned assault weapons, rounds of ammunition and drugs were found, said Deputy Tania Plunkett.
No explosives were found, Plunkett said.
