BOYS’ WATER POLO
* Austin Trinkle, Los Alamitos: Scored two goals, including the game-winner with 52 seconds left in overtime, to lead the Griffins, ranked No. 2 in the Southern Section Division II coaches’ poll, to an 11-10 victory over Orinda Miramonte in the ninth-place semifinal of the S&R; Sport Cup in Irvine.

* Annie St. Geme, Corona del Mar: With a second-place individual finish in 17 minutes 24 seconds, the junior led the victorious Sea Queens to a record-setting team time of 91:21, the fastest girls’ team time at Woodward Park in Fresno -- the site of the state meet since 1987. The previous record of 91:53 was set by Hesperia Sultana in 2002.
* Patrick Milloy, Murrieta Valley: Led the Nighthawks, ranked No. 6 in the Division I poll, to an upset victory over No. 2 Upland in the boys’ sweepstakes race of the Inland Empire Championships at Guasti Park in Ontario. Milloy’s time of 14:52 helped Murrieta Valley to a 51-66 edge over Upland.
