Woman Killed, 4 Injured in Traffic Collision

A 19-year-old woman was killed and four other people were injured in a traffic collision late Sunday, authorities said.
Jessica Herron was riding with her father, mother and brother when their BMW collided with a Volkswagen Passat about 8:40 p.m. at Harvard Avenue and Michelson Drive.
The Irvine family was taken to Western Medical Center-Santa Ana, where Herron died. Her father, Joseph Herron, sustained serious injuries. Her mother, Dana Klein, fractured her arm, and her 12-year-old brother sustained internal injuries.
The driver of the Passat, Amal Astarbadi, 34 of Irvine, suffered minor injuries.
