McCourts Have Nothing on Kings’ Anschutz

Tim Brown hit the nail on the head when he dismissed the McCourts for considering the Dodgers as a real estate operation rather than a baseball team. In fact, the owners of another local team are far more guilty of this yet have somehow avoided the harsh glare of a Times investigation into their motivations.
Denver-based Philip Anschutz and AEG have owned the Kings for a decade, and other than acquiring and building land downtown at a rapid pace, what exactly do the hockey fans have to show for their years of absentee and apparently uninterested control?
