Steve DeLuca, publisher of Rolling Stone, left the magazine Friday, parent Wenner Media said.
DeLuca’s departure coincided with the end of his two-year contract, the company said.
“Wenner Media and DeLuca have mutually decided not to renew his agreement,” the company said in statement.
DeLuca is the second top executive to leave New York-based Wenner this year. General Manager Kent Brownridge quit in January, Wenner spokesman Mark Neschis said.
Rolling Stone’s associate publisher, Ray Chelstowski, will serve as acting publisher, Wenner Media said.
