Nickelodeon President Herb Scannell Departs

Viacom Inc.’s MTV Networks said Herb Scannell, vice chairman and president of Nickelodeon Networks, had left the company.

Under a restructuring tied to Scannell’s departure, Nickelodeon TV President Cyma Zarghami will lead a new MTVN Kids and Family Group, Viacom said.

The moves follow a corporate split that created Viacom, which owns cable television networks and the Paramount Pictures movie studio, and CBS Corp. Viacom’s new MTVN group will include Nickelodeon-branded channels.
