IBM to Manage Gap’s Computer Systems

Gap Inc. will pay IBM Corp. $1.1 billion over 10 years to manage its computer systems.
IBM will handle Gap’s servers, mainframes and networks, including those that help run its 3,117 stores, the companies said. About 400 technology workers at Gap will join IBM. Gap said in a regulatory filing that it would save money by outsourcing the work.
