In full support of their big brother

Thank you for your article “When One Kid Must Come First” (July 17). We have a 13-year-old son with severe cerebral palsy, a 10-year-old son and a 7-year-old daughter. Our two youngest children have always known their older brother was special, since the day they were born. They go to all the therapies, doctor’s appointments and are always there to support their older brother.
Nothing ever seems to come easy, but our children always try to make the best of any situation and help their big brother. This is the type of responsibility that young siblings should not have to deal with, but we could not be more proud of all our children and how they go through life, even at these young ages.
