Making sense of Iran’s nuclear ambitions

Re “U.N. Nuclear Agency Takes Step Toward Sanctions on Iran,” April 29
The administration’s continued pressure on Iran, and The Times’ one-sided news coverage, is absurd. Iran maintains that its only purpose is peaceful energy. Experts say that if all went according to a best-case scenario, it would take five to 10 years for Iran to create a nuclear weapon.
We need to remember who has a known history of lying to the American people and who has declared his willingness to use nuclear weapons on human beings. He lives in the White House.

Why are Russia and China not afraid of a nuclear-armed Iran? We don’t want this to happen because Iran is our enemy, or is it because of Israel? I’m sure we would not have invaded Iraq if it had nuclear weapons.
Every country wants the means to defend itself; South Vietnam was lost to communist North Vietnam for the lack of the same.
History is always there for people to learn their lesson.
