An equestrian extravaganza

Andalusian, Peruvian Paso, Paso Fino and other high-stepping Spanish-bred horses will compete this weekend at the Fiesta of the Spanish Horse, a multi-breed horse show at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center.
The highlight of the four-day event happens Saturday night, when the horses’ elegance and agility will be on display in a musical extravaganza. Traditional performances by the horses will be accompanied by Latin, mariachi and other styles of music along with flamenco and folklorico dancing. Vendors will offer Spanish, Peruvian and Paso Fino-style tack, leather goods, art, jewelry and other items. For those who can’t make it Saturday, the horses will be competing today through Sunday.
Fiesta of the Spanish Horse, Los Angeles Equestrian Center, 480 Riverside Drive, Burbank. 6 p.m. Saturday; gates open at 3 p.m. $15 to $50; age 3 and younger, free. (818) 842-7444.
