Highway Into Park Shut Again by Rockslide

From Times Staff and Wire Reports
Just a day after reopening, California 140 was shut to traffic again Friday as falling rocks rained down on the key road into Yosemite National Park.
The highway was closed a month ago by a big rockslide. Caltrans opened a single lane Thursday morning, but by nightfall rock and debris were cascading down again. Though no cars were hit, boulders damaged a steel-mesh fence installed to protect the roadway.
Caltrans geologists surveyed the area by air Friday and had no estimate of when the road might reopen.
