City Atty. Rocky Delgadillo announced Wednesday that his office has filed 30 criminal cases as part of a crackdown on unlicensed contractors for abandoned or shoddy work.
Aided by the Contractors State License Board, the city attorney said his office filed charges including a dozen counts against husband and wife Miguel and Bianca Gomez, unlicensed contractors, and their firm BT Construction, which was paid $70,000 on a home remodel and allegedly abandoned the project after performing only $26,137 of the work.
