Classical music unit sold by ICM
Talent agency International Creative Management sold its classical music and performing arts unit Thursday for an estimated $2.5 million.
Home to cellist Yo-Yo Ma and pianist Emanuel Ax, ICM Artists was bought by a group that includes eight ICMA executives and Newsweb Corp., a Chicago-based media company.
One of the buyers, David Foster, will keep his position as president and chief executive. A name change is expected.
ICM said the sale was part of its strategy to focus on its film, TV, publishing and popular music divisions.
