With premieres, parties and awards, calendars fill up fast in this town. Here’s a look at some of this week’s events.
TONIGHT: Think diamonds are forever? Ask Ed Zwick, at the AFI’s evening with the “Blood Diamond” director at the ArcLight Theatre.
Also: Want to save the planet? Hit the 16th annual Environmental Media Awards at the Ebell Club of Los Angeles. Watch for Rosanna Arquette, Pierce Brosnan, Kristin Davis, Daryl Hannah, Chris Kattan, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Nicole Richie and David Spade.
THURSDAY: Want your day in court? Spend an evening with the “Boston Legal” team at the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in Burbank. Expected to testify: James Spader, William Shatner, Candice Bergen. Camryn Manheim will moderate.
SATURDAY: Celebrate AFI’s 20th anniversary at the Centerpiece Gala, the premiere of “The Fountain” at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, with Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz, directed by Darren Aronofsky. The after-party is at Republic.
