Copper Canyon’s most wanted

MEXICO’S popular Copper Canyon is rugged and diverse. In July, Mark Harpenau of Newport Beach and his girlfriend, Michele Moreno, hiked deep into the canyon, starting at the top with wintry temperatures and ending in tropical splendor at the edge of the Urique River. There, Harpenau snapped this shot. “I just sat there, waiting and waiting, and finally got it.” He used a Fuji FinePix 3800.
