A mother’s motto: What, her worry?

YEARS ago, must have been late 1950s or early 1960s, my mother (Phi Beta Kappa UC Berkeley about 1937, also wife of a university professor) delighted in telling magazine salesmen that the only magazine she read was Mad magazine [“Born Under a Mad Sign,” March 18].
