Ignorant about hot dogs
I haven’t stopped laughing at your lack of hot dog knowledge [“Hot Dog Hot Spots,” April 5]. It is Chicago that all cities should be compared with regard to hot dog culture and not New York. The top dog is the windy city.
As for L.A. hot dog culture -- while we can give Chicago a challenge, L.A. kicks N.Y. dog tails. And any list of top hot dog places in this town does not include any on your list, but starts with Pink’s, Tail o’ the Pup, and Dodger Stadium for grilled Dodger dogs.
You can have those so-called stylish spots, but true hot dog eaters want their dogs the old-fashioned way: at a true hot dog stand with regular mustard. So, hold the artwork, live jazz and most of all, the Dijon mustard and house-made blue cream cheese!
