After winning their first-round series against Minnesota in five games, the Ducks await their opponent in the Western Conference semifinals. Currently there are three possible teams they can face:
* If Detroit defeats Calgary and Vancouver defeats Dallas, the second-seeded Ducks will face third-seeded Vancouver. The Ducks went 3-0-1 against the Canucks in the regular season.
* If Detroit defeats Calgary and Dallas defeats Vancouver, the Ducks will face the San Jose Sharks, who eliminated the Nashville Predators on Friday night. The Ducks went 5-2-1 against San Jose.
* If Calgary defeats Detroit, the Ducks will face the eighth-seeded Flames. The Ducks went 2-2 against them.
Note: The Ducks also have a 2-2 record against Detroit and a 4-2-2 mark against Dallas.
