UC Irvine raises a record $120.1 million for year

UC Irvine has raised a record $120.1 million in private gifts and grants over the last 12 months, Chancellor Michael V. Drake announced Wednesday.
The sum represents a 19% increase from the previous fiscal year, when it raised $101.4 million. This year’s total included several large gifts, such as $10 million to establish the Sue and Bill Gross Stem Cell Research Center.
