The Dodgers pay Eric Gagne $19 million for the 2005 and 2006 seasons and receive 15 innings in return. Gagne’s response: “I never felt I owed them something.” That’s the gratitude of today’s athlete.
Anybody want a slightly used “GAME OVER” T-shirt?

Hey Eric,
Game over on honesty, eh?
Thanks for the memories. You are now Fredo to me.

I had to read your article on Eric Gagne a couple of times because I knew there was something missing. I knew you couldn’t possibly write an article about the Dodgers’ (and the fans’) loss of Eric Gagne to the Rangers without mentioning Scott Boras.
Gagne would still be a Dodger with any other agent in the world. As a matter of fact, with any other agent, I believe Greg Maddux is still a Dodger.

I don’t get it. Manny Ramirez is reporting to camp late (again)? Didn’t he just get four months off like the other guys?
