Once again, no charge

Marty Schottenheimer is definitely superior to Bill Belichick in instructing his team how to celebrate with class. Belichick is just a little better at making sure his team has a reason to celebrate.

To “The Drive” and “The Fumble,” Marty Schottenheimer can now add “The Challenge.”

The team anthem should be changed from “San Diego Super Chargers” to “San Diego Stupid Chargers.”

It appears Bill Plaschke has the same feelings about seeing a Marty Schottenheimer-coached playoff game that I have about reading his columns.

Question to the city of San Diego:
Is it really better to have loved and lost than -- never mind. You’ve suffered enough.

Although I live in San Diego, I’m not a Chargers fan. As a matter of fact, I was pulling for them to lose to make it more difficult for their corporate parasites to extort the region’s taxpayers (me) for a new playpen.
But T.J. Simers’ column on the Chargers’ loss hit a new low, even for him. It was juvenile, poorly written and served no purpose except to vent his spleen against the readers who had the temerity to respond to an earlier column dissing the Chargers. He’s losing it.

I’d sympathize more with Baltimoreans’ hatred of the Colts [“The anger never left,” Jan. 13] if their town hadn’t stolen the Browns -- I mean, the Ravens -- from Cleveland the same way Indianapolis took the Colts.
