Remains may be those of missing woman

Human remains found in an underwater cave near the east jetty may be those of an Irvine woman swept out to sea after being hit by high surf in April, authorities said.
Orange County sheriff’s spokesman Jim Amormino said DNA testing would determine if the remains are those of Yi Ni Kwong, 49.
Kwong was fishing with Sean Shungfei Yeh, 53, of Fremont, Calif., on April 10 when both were swept off the jetty.
Yeh’s body was recovered three days later.
Sheriff’s divers took advantage of near-perfect diving conditions Friday to search for Kwong.
The remains were found 20 minutes after the search began at noon.
