Police officer convicted of abusing authority

An El Cajon police officer was convicted Wednesday of five counts of demanding sexual favors from women he had arrested.
A San Diego County Superior Court jury deliberated for six days before convicting William Robert Taylor, 28, of abusing his authority as a police officer. He faces a maximum sentence of eight years in prison.
He was acquitted on four additional counts.
