Vote on rent control expansion is delayed

The City Council discussed in detail Wednesday but delayed voting on a controversial ordinance that would change rent control laws.
The ordinance would impose rent control on apartment buildings constructed to replace rent-control units that are demolished.
A vote is expected next week.
