Supervisors OK Bowl price hikes

Los Angeles County supervisors have approved the Los Angeles Philharmonic Assn.’s proposal to increase ticket prices for the 2008 Hollywood Bowl season. The Philharmonic said additional money is needed to cover various operating costs and payments to the musicians.
For most events, ticket prices will be $1 to $3 higher than this year, varying with seat location and day of the week. In some instances, fees may jump as much as $8. The supervisors also approved a $5 parking increase, making the top charge $35.
