Update -- The Kings seem to be on the road at the right time, handing the New York Islanders their sixth consecutive home loss, 3-1, on Thursday night. They’ll next face a New Jersey team that has lost five of six at newly opened Prudential Center. The struggling Devils were defeated by the N.Y. Rangers, 3-1, on Friday. The Kings are 6-2-1 since a 7-0 loss to visiting Nashville on Jan. 8. These teams last met Nov. 27, 2006, when the Kings won in a shootout, 3-2, at Staples Center.
