Police discovered the body of a man at Cork Street and Hazard Avenue early Friday morning, an apparent homicide victim.
The man, who was not identified, had suffered wounds to his head and neck. The nature of the wounds and cause of death were not immediately known, a police spokesman said. The man was believed to be in his late teens or early 20s.
A woman found at the scene was taken to a hospital with face lacerations not believed to be life threatening.
Police were seeking a man who was described as being about the same age as the slaying victim and was last seen in a newer-model black Honda Accord, possibly with a broken driver’s-side window.
