Minnesota 2, at Seattle 1 (10): The Twins ended Ichiro Suzuki’s team-record hitting streak at 27 games, and took advantage of Seattle left fielder Wladimir Balentien’s two 10th-inning misplays.
Texas 5, at Boston 1: Kevin Millwood held the Red sox scoreless for seven innings, Ian Kinsler hit a three-run homer and the Rangers ended an eight-game losing streak in Fenway Park. The loss ended Boston’s four-game winning streak and dropped its home mark to 17-7, second in the majors behind the Dodgers.
at Oakland 9, Baltimore 1: Jack Cust and Matt Holiday each hit three-run homers and Dallas Braden matched his career high of seven strikeouts for the Athletics, who extended their winning streak to a four games.
Cleveland 6, at Chicago 0: Carl Pavano pitched a three-hitter for his fifth career shutout and Mark DeRosa hit a three-run homer to lead the Indians.
Tampa Bay at New York, ppd., rain: No makeup date was announced.
Angels 2, at Detroit 1: Juan Rivera’s ninth-inning single broke a scoreless tie.
