Cal State Northridge 99, at UC Davis 72: Junior Kenny Daniels had 24 points, six rebounds and two steals to lead the Matadors (15-12, 11-4), who clinched at least a share of the Big West Conference title. The Aggies (12-18, 7-9) already have clinched their first berth in the Big West tournament.
Long Beach State 63, at Cal Poly SLO 60: The 49ers overcame a poor shooting night to clinch a bye into the semifinals of next week’s Big West tournament. Long Beach (15-13, 10-5) shot only 41.7% from the field and 18.8% (three of 16) from three-point range against the Mustangs (7-20, 3-12).
at UC Santa Barbara 66, UC Riverside 53: James Nunnally scored 15 points to lead the Gauchos (14-14, 7-8 Big West). Santa Barbara made 10 of 20 from three-point range overall and shot 53% in the first half to take a 42-24 lead. Kyle Austin scored 12 of his 14 points in the second half for Riverside (16-12, 7-8).
WOMEN
UCLA 70, at Oregon 69: Darxia Morris’ 40-foot, three-point bank shot at the buzzer was the winner for the Bruins (18-10, 9-8 Pacific 10). Taylor Lilley scored to give the Ducks (9-19, 5-12) a 69-67 lead with 4.6 seconds remaining. After two timeouts, Morris took the inbound pass, took two steps past midcourt and let fly.
at Oregon State 61, USC 58: The Trojans (14-14, 8-9) lost their two leading rebounders -- Nadia Parker and Briana Gilbreath -- to injuries. Heather Oliver led four USC players in double figures with 15 points. The Beavers (18-10, 8-9) were led by Talisa Rhea with 18 points.
