In a Totally Random item, Curt Schilling lists Delino DeShields as one of the toughest batters he faced during his career.
This could not be the same Delino DeShields featured in arguably the worst single player exchange the Dodgers ever executed -- Pedro Martinez, bound for a potential Hall of Fame career, for DeShields, who produced nothing for the Dodgers.
Clearly, Schilling, in his declining years, has suffered damage to more than just his shoulder and heel.
