The Grammys will be held a bit earlier in 2010.
The 52nd annual awards will air live on CBS from Staples Center on Jan. 31. This year’s show was staged Feb. 8.
To accommodate the earlier date, the Recording Academy said it was shortening the eligibility period for the Grammys by one month and thus would not cover a full year: Oct. 1, 2008, to Aug. 31, 2009.
