A man who authorities said appeared to be homeless died early Saturday morning after someone beat him with a blunt object and then covered his head with a large planter.
Los Angeles police said someone called authorities after they found the man’s body near the doorway of a business in the 500 block of North Glendale Boulevard about 2:30 a.m.
The victim, who has not been identified, was struck in the head and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
