Highlights: This annual event showcases Western gear to peruse and purchase, food, live music, a raffle and an auction. Friday opens with a gala dinner and preview party attended by honored vaqueros and craftspeople.

Highlights: The worldwide festival’s only U.S. stop promises workshops, talks, studio shoots, book signings and gallery exhibitions.

Festival of Trees
When, where: Nov. 19-21, Red Lion Hotel
Highlights: Ornately decorated trees and holiday displays for public viewing, followed by a gala benefit dinner and auction. Other attractions include live entertainment and pictures with Santa Claus.

LAS VEGAS
Cirque Week
When, where: Nov. 29 to Dec. 5, various venues
Highlights: Fans of Cirque du Soleil can take in seven of its shows on the Strip, as well as attend a welcome reception, take advantage of photo ops, listen in on question-and-answer sessions, and view technology demonstrations.
Cost: Packages range from two shows for $160 to seven shows and autographed programs for $445.
