Actress Belinda Balaski brings longtime Manhattan Beach bungalow to market

After nearly half a century of ownership, “Gremlins” actress Belinda Balaski is ready to cash out in Manhattan Beach.
Her 1940s bungalow, which she bought in 1972 for $26,500, is on the market for $1.799 million, according to the Multiple Listing Service.
A tiered frontyard approaches the red house, which sits four blocks from the ocean. In 1,000 square feet of living space, there are two bedrooms and one bathroom.
Rustic touches fill the living room, which has beamed ceilings, wood-paneled walls and parquet floors. Other common rooms include a long dining area and a kitchen splashed with tile.
Out back, a private wood deck holds a spa.
Balaski, 71, has appeared in a variety of horror and sci-fi films since the 1970s, including a handful of Joe Dante-directed movies: “The Howling,” “Piranha,” “Gremlins” and “Gremlins 2: The New Batch.”
