Marco Antonio Regil, the Mexican TV personality and game-show host, has sold a house in Santa Monica for $2.265 million. The contemporary closed in less than two months for above the $2.199 million asking price.
Rebuilt in 2012, the two-story home features an open-plan layout connecting the living room, dining room and kitchen. French doors in the step-down living room open to the yard.
The master suite occupies the entire second level of the house. The 3,252 square feet of living space has three other bedrooms, one of which has been used as a radio studio. There are a total of four bathrooms.
Regil, 44, has hosted shows in English and Spanish, including versions of “The Price Is Right,” “Family Feud” and “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?” Regil, who got his start as a DJ, is also an actor and producer.
He bought the property two years ago for $1.85 million, public records show.
Tamra Pardee and Heidi Bright of Pardee Properties were the listing agents. Pardee also represented the buyer.
