Jim Carrey‘s got the creepy stalker act down. On Thursday, the comedian posted a video love letter to Emma Stone on his personal website, talking about sex, marriage and even kids with the starlet. According to the lovesick star, only their age difference (he’s 49, she’s 22) could keep them apart. Later, Carrey claimed the digital flattery was just “a comedy routine.” (Left: Jim Carrey; Credit: Charles Sykes / Associated Press. Right: Emma Stone; Credit: Christopher Polk / Associated Press.)
Kate Winslet‘s Virgin Islands vacation took a turn for the worst when a bolt of lightning struck the home where she was staying and set the property ablaze. The Oscar winner, her two children and on-again, off-again boyfriend Louis Dowler were guests at mogul Richard Branson‘s Necker Island estate. The group, along with Branson’s mother, escaped unscathed, but the Great House was destroyed. (House; Credit: Associated Press. Inset: Kate Winslet; Credit: Carolyn Cole/Los Angeles Times)
It’s official: Chely Wright is a married woman. The country singer and her bride, Lauren Blitzer, walked down the aisle in Connecticut in front of 200 guests. Both wore white gowns, but skipped the veils. “We like our hair too much!” she told People. (Kirk McKoy / Los Angeles Times)
Ryan Gosling‘s heartthrob status just went up. Like a real-life hero, the actor came upon a street scuffle in New York City and took action. In a YouTube video posted by giggling gawkers, Gosling is seen armed with only a shopping bag and some serious muscles, breaking up the fight. Go Ryan! (Carolyn Cole / Los Angeles Times)

Tragic singer Amy Winehouse was drug-free, in terms of illegal substances, when she died, according to her autopsy results. However, a rep for the family says: “Results indicate that alcohol was present but it cannot be determined as yet if it played a role in her death.” Winehouse, who was found dead in her north London home on July 24, was known as much for her Grammy-winning “Back to Black” album as her trouble with drugs and alcohol. Newlyweds Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries, who wed in Montecito last weekend, aren’t messing around with their bank accounts. The couple has signed a prenuptial agreement protecting Kim’s $35-million fortune and Kris’ NBA earnings, estimated at $8 million to $16 million, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Although news of the contract was completely expected, a bit of surprising Kardashian news dropped on Thursday afternoon: Momager Kris Jenner is joining CBS’ “The Talk” as a guest host, maybe more. What’s next? Khloe on “Basketball Wives”? (We know Adele would watch.) (Vincent Damourette / EPA)
The rumor mill was hopping this week with buzz that Will and Jada Pinkett Smith had called it quits. But the A-list couple, who seem immune to Hollywood’s relationship troubles, took matters into their own hands. Not only did they quash the gossip, which included a romance between Jada and “Hawthorne” costar Marc Anthony, but the couple even made the best of a bad situation. They flaunted their love for the paparazzi the next day over breakfast in Malibu. (Robert Lachman / Los Angeles Times)
With a family name like Wahlberg, it’s surprising that famous brothers Mark and Donnie didn’t open a burger joint years ago. Especially with such a cute moniker; Wahlburgers. Even festivals have to pay their bills or deal with the consequences. This week the city of Los Angeles shut down Silver Lake’s Sunset Junction Street Fair when organizers failed to produce a check to cover this year’s expenses. The concert series started 30 years ago as a way to unite gay and Latino communities in Silver Lake, but eventually grew beyond that. No word yet on whether Sunset Junction will be back next year.
