Hollywood Headlines: A crazy week in review

It looks like the FBI finally found their guy: the notorious celebrity hacker known for snooping starlets’ email accounts looking for revealing personal pictures. Christopher Chaney, 35, was arrested on Wednesday after a yearlong FBI investigation known as Operation Hackerazzi. Ozzy Osbourne isn’t just the Prince of Darkness anymore, he’s a soon-to-be grandpa too. Son Jack is expecting a baby with fiancee Lisa Stelly. James Bond has a new nemesis; Javier Bardem. The Spanish actor, who won an Oscar for playing a ruthless hitman in “No Country For Old Men,” has officially signed on to play a villain in the new movie, dubbed “Bond 23.” The next installment, starring Daniel Craig and directed by Sam Mendes, is due in theaters in November 2012.   (Mel Melcon / Los Angeles Times)

Hey, “X-Factor,” consider the gauntlet thrown. This year’s “American Idol” winner Scotty McCreery notched himself into the history books as his debut album, “Clear as Day,” opened at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. The gravel-voiced teenager logged 197,000 copies of the disc, according to Nielsen SoundScan, making him the first country act to bow at No. 1 with a debut album, according to Billboard.

McCreery’s success was also swell news for the aging “Idol” franchise, which some pegged for dead after Simon Cowell left at the end of last season. Goodbye, Charlie: “Charlie’s Angels” is joining the cancellation club after four episodes.

The news on Friday came a day after ABC announced full-season pickups for freshman series “Suburgatory” and “Revenge.”

The network’s much-hyped attempt at revamping the 1970s campy series with Minka Kelly, Annie Ilonzeh and Rachael Taylor as three young female detectives in Miami proved futile.
