Quarry Set in 1972, this new eight-part action series, adapted from the best-selling books of Max Allan Collins, stars Logan Marshall-Green a Marine who returns from Vietnam to his hometown of Memphis to find himself shunned and falls in with a local crime network of hired killers. Nikki Amuka-Bird and Damon Herriman also star. 10 p.m. Cinemax
20/20 Journalist Elizabeth Vargas has been reporting on other people for many years, but the spotlight is on her in the 39th-season premiere of the newsmagazine, as she tells Diane Sawyer about the alcohol abuse and related anxiety Vargas tried to keep hidden for years. 10 p.m. ABC

Stand Up to Cancer The fifth of the biannual specials will air across many networks simultaneously. Bradley Cooper and Katie Couric are among the celebrities behind the program. 10th Annual ACM Honors Though this event has been around for a decade, it’s being televised for the first time, focusing on those who received special honors and off-camera accolades in April’s 51st Academy of Country Music Awards. Members of Lady Antebellum host at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium. Glen Campbell, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Crystal Gayle and Little Big Town are among those celebrated. 9 p.m. CBS

Legend Tom Hardy stars as Ronnie and Reggie Kray, twins who embarked on a hyper-violent terror spree in 1960s London in a bid to control much of the city’s criminal underworld. Emily Browning, David Thewlis and Christopher Eccleston also star in this 2015 crime drama. 7:45 p.m. Cinemax
