The Los Angeles Facial Hair Society has announced the results of the its second annual local beard and mustache competition, which took place June 21 at the Federal Bar in North Hollywood and was underwritten by grooming goods brand Mod Cabin, maker of such things as Backwoods Beard Balm and Birch Tar bar soap.
(Note: As an ardent fan of facial hair competitions of every stripe, I usually prefer to attend and gather the results of such gatherings of the bewhiskered with boots on the ground, but with one of my boots currently out of commission, I was unable to observe the plethora of pogonic excess first hand this time around, so we’re relying on the official results provided by the society.)
