Joy Villa, Trump-supporting singer, wears gown emblazoned with fetus to Grammys

A year after attending the Grammy Awards in a controversial red, white and blue “Make America Great Again” dress, Trump-supporting singer Joy Villa once again aimed to shock with her red-carpet ensemble. For the 60th Grammy Awards, the friend of Ivanka Trump donned a white gown by bridal designer Pronovias, hand-painted with a larger-than-life fetus on the full ball skirt. To be clear, Pronovias is not responsible for the rainbow-hued decoration; Villa painted it herself.
She emphasized her statement with a white purse painted with a heart and the statement “Choose Life” and finished off the ensemble with a large crown. It was an apropos addition for the 31-year-old, California-born singer who goes by the stage name Princess Joy Villa.
Since the 2015 Grammys, she’s made herself known for attention-stealing outfits, including an unusual see-through dress by Andre Soriano made entirely of orange-construction-fencing material. At the 2017 awards, her Soriano gown promoted President Trump and helped her EP, “I Make the Static,” hit No. 1 for digital downloads. The singer, who’s a Scientologist, has announced she’s considering running for Congress as a Republican.
On the red carpet, she told Fox News that she gave a baby up for adoption at the age of 21 and is “all about life. I’m a pro-life woman,” she said. “This year I chose to make a statement on the red carpet, like I always do.”
