LAPD officer killed, second injured in Beverly Hills big rig crash

A Los Angeles police officer was killed and another seriously injured Friday morning when their squad car collided with a big rig in Beverly Hills, police said.
The crash occurred about 8 a.m. near Loma Vista Drive and Robert Lane, said Beverly Hills Sgt. Max Subin. A male officer was killed, Los Angeles Police Department spokesman Richard French said.
A female officer in the car with him was seriously injured.
There were at least two officers in the car, which was from the LAPD’s Hollywood Division.
Beverly Hills police were investigating the crash and no further details were immediately available.
The condition of the big rig driver was also not known.
